Drupal Development Security Essentials

Day:
Saturday
Time:
1:00 pm
Room:
Room U3

If you’ve ever written custom code or modules for Drupal and wondered to yourself “am I going to regret this later?” Have you ever uploaded a development version of a module to a live site, hoping that your site was small enough that no hacker would bother trying to find it’s security flaws?

Give your conscience a break! Securing your own Drupal code, or assessing the exploit-ability of other modules isn’t rocket science, and you can actually reap some huge benefits employing just a handful of Drupal functions.

Several of you asked me to post the link to the site that I used for the presentation. http://panels.anguspratt.com .

Managing Changes to CCK In Code

Day:
Sunday
Time:
2:00 pm
Room:
Room U2

Isn’t it nice how you can export views and store them in code? It makes me feel good on the inside when I know my views are safely stored in SVN. The same is true for Panels.

CCK provides import and export functionality, but it’s not as well understood or documented about how to store CCK types in code.

Let’s explore the possibilities together. There will be code and refreshments.
