DataSphere Technologies, Inc. (http://www.DataSphere.com) is a Software as a Service (SaaS) Web technology company built by a group of senior online technologists and product managers.

Come learn about how we leveraged Drupal to create a network of “hyper-local” sites for Fisher Communications (a Seattle-based communications and media company and the parent company of KOMO-TV and dozens of other media outlets in the western United States) in less than ten weeks.

After a brief evaluation of open-source alternatives, the DataSphere technology team chose Drupal as the base content management system for what is now a large network (over 70 sites) of local news sites. This presentation will give you an overview of our process, (from module evaluation/selection to theming to deployment and maintenance), what custom work we did, and how we are planning on scaling and managing Drupal to thousands of sites.

Scaling Drupal

You might want to attend my session on the boost module, if your expecting a lot of anonymous users and looking to scale. It does a lot of stuff automatically.
